P-01 · Technical feasibility study · 2026

Lightweight UAV airframe

Commissioned by a Finnish defence and security development network: we assessed the suitability of laminated sandwich composite structures for the wing and fuselage of a fixed-wing UAV with a wingspan of approx. 6 metres. The work covered market and materials benchmarking, concept design, and cost and scaling analysis. The target material cost of the structure is only a fraction of that of commercial carbon-fibre airframes.

Outcome: GO recommendation for component-level prototyping and physical validation.

P-02 · Technical feasibility study · 2026

Thermal profile simulator for thermal camera testing

Proof-of-concept definition for a cost-effective, waterproof test target that produces a controlled and repeatable face-shaped thermal profile. Applications include testing, calibration and reliability assessment of thermal cameras and sensors. The work covered zone-specific heat control, multi-unit power management, and a test and AI-assisted analysis plan.

Outcome: the concept was assessed as feasible; the recommended next step is a controlled test specimen and measurement series.

A scoped, fixed-price feasibility study. It provides decision-makers with a technical concept, risks, a cost estimate and a path forward – for example prototyping, validation and funding options (Business Finland, EDF). All projects under NDA.
